Synopsis: 'Raghavendra', directed by Suresh Krishna and produced by B Srinivasa Raju on the banner of Sri Sri Chitra, is the film, which had debated problems such as 'how the youth should react to the changing scenario in the society. What would be the repercussions, if the youths did not react to such situation? What would be the impact if the youths react?' and suggested a positive solution on the subject. GVG Raju is the presenter of the film.
As the subject demands most of the film runs in Mantralayam temple. Except the sanctum sanctorum, the entire temple was shot on the temple premises itself. Presenter of the film GVG Raju says, 'We had erected a house set of the hero near the temple. The same kind of set was also erected here also and got them matched during the editing. A song on the greatness of the temple penned by Veturi was canned on Swetha Agarwal in the temple environment. The kids who chant the Vedas, devotees and purohits could be seen in the song.'
Producer Srinivasa Raju says, 'The film will not only have the devotion towards the God, but also have commercial elements. The film will have different kinds of elements like love, sentiment, action, emotion and music. Hero Prabhas says, 'I am very happy that I bagged an opportunity to play a role, which had all kinds of emotions, in my very second film. Moreover, I feel lucky that the film is being directed by an experienced director like Suresh Krishna. He could extract a quality performance from me in the film. As a whole it will be a beautiful film that would attract one and all kinds of audiences.' Director Suresh Krishna says, 'I am making the film with an extraordinary subject that was provided by Posani Krishnamurali. All the technicians and the producers had excellent taste over filmmaking. I am trying to make the film as a milestone in my entire film career. Though it is the second film for Prabhas, he is showing excellent performance with sheer hard work. I am sure that he would become a good artiste with his role in this film.'
