Ram Gopal Varma and Suresh Kondeti have combinely produced 'Shock' under RGV production banner. According to the director, the movie is nor an horror. The movie stars Raviteja and Jyothika in lead roles. The movie is packed with many suspense sequences. Ram Gopal Varma has choosen Raviteja in this movie as he is much impressed by Raviteja's acting performance in his past films like 'Idiot'. He is doing the telugu movie after a long gap.
Raviteja is given the class getup in the movie. He looks official rather than a mass appearance. Jyothika is back after the success of dubbed films like 'Manmatha' and 'Chandramukhi'. This is her telugu film after 'Mass'. She looks glamourous in any getups. In this film she plays a role of a housewife. She is one of the good actresses in Tollywood. Tabu plays the role of a journalist in the film. This is her telugu film after 'Andarivadu' with Chiranjeevi.
