'Sri Ramadaasu', directed by K.Raghavendra Rao, is another historical movie after 'Annamayya' which tells us the life history of Sri Ramadaasu. Nagarjuna, Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Suman are playing the roles of Ramadaasu, Kabir Das and Sri Rama respectively in the movie. Sneha plays the role of Kamala, wife of Ramadaasu. The movie team is same as that of 'Annamayya'. Actress Veda who changed her name to Archana, plays a role of Sita in the movie.
Nagarjuna had read about Sri Ramadaasu and had visited Golkonda fort during his schooldays. It was here that Tanisha (played by Nasser) kept the poet imprisoned. Bharavi has done extensive research and travelled to all the locations where the devotee lived for writing the script. The audio released recently is getting good response from the audience. The music is rendered by M.M.Keeravani. There are twenty devotional songs in the movie. The songs are sung by top singers. The movie, produced by Konda Krishnam Raju, is expected to hit the silver screens in February. |  |
