'786 - O khaidi prema katha' is a routine love story. It is a mass movie with fights songs and dances. There is lot of vulgarity in the movie. Director KS Nageswara Rao exhibited expertise in action sequences but he could not succeed in holding interest element in narration and maintaining grip on the proceedings on the film. Posani Krishna Murali's dialogues are average.
Story: Rajesh (Sashikanth) is a bright student and gets Medical seat, He is the son of a poor ayurvedic doctor. His parents inform that they cannot support his studies due to the financial difficulties. So he joins in village teashop. Seeing this all the villagers raises fund and send him to the medical collage where hero completes his studies and plans to return to village so that he can serve his people who helped him in his studies.
Heroine Alekhya (Yana sheik) falls in love with him and she also decides to follow him to the village to serve the poor needy people. Like all love stories her father is not happy with her decision and frames Rajesh in a murder case and sends him to the jail.
Roshini (Poonam Bhartke) visits jail to take interviews of prisoners for her project work and falls in love with Rajesh. She helps him to escape from the jail. The rest of the story is all about how he convinces Alekhya that he is guilty-free and how he proves his innocence to the court by exposing Harischandra Prasad.
Music:Music by M.M Srilekha is average.
Performance: Sashikanth is good in dances and fights but average in acting. Yana Sheik is adequate as heroine. Poonam provides glamour. Anant Raj and Sreeman are OK as the villains. Brahmanandam is impressive as assistant cop. Shakeela as usual did vulgar comedy. AVS is adequate.
Verdict Below Average.
