Debutant director Mallikarjuna chose a variety love subject for his film. The subject elevated the character to suit the taste of the class as well as mass. Though the narration is a little slow, the timely comedy made the audiences to stay put in the theatre.

Story Abhimanyu (Kalyanram) is a college student and Janaki (Suhasini) is his mother, who is a physically challenged woman. Sairabanu (Spandana) is a Muslim girl she stays in the upper portion of Abhimanyu's house as a tenant, along with her caretakers (Ali and Rajitha). She joins the same class and college in which Abhimanyu is studying. They fall in love with each other. Abhi gets arrested as he gets involved in a petty fight. The police inspector (Benarjee) recognises Abhi, as the son of Jaleel Khan's sister and informs him that his daughter is in love with his bitter enemy's son. The infuriated Jaleel Khan takes away Banu back to Kadapa. Abhi, who is unaware about his background, goes to Kadapa to meet Banu. Banu's grandmother tells Abhi to go to his mother and learn about his history. Abhi comes to know through Janaki that his real mother is a Muslim, who loved a Christian against the wishes of her family and eloped with him. On the first birthday of Abhi, Jaleel Khan's father, who was in search of his daughter and her husband, reaches their home and kills both of them cruelly. When they were about kill Abhi, the neighbours gather there and hands them over to the police. Jaleel Khan's father dies in the jail, while Jaleel Khan gets released after completion of his jail term. He did never accept love and love marriage.

Abhi decides to take revenge against the killers of his parents and at the same time win back his ladylove. But, at the instance of Janaki, who pleads with him that she could not live without him and tells him to forget his love. When Abhi's friends insist on him to meet Banu, he rejects stating that he prefers his mother rather than his love. Realising that Abhi is sincerely loving Banu, Janaki goes to Jaleel Khan to plead with him to get Abhi and Banu married. When Jaleel Khan's men were about to thrash Janaki, Abhi reaches the spot and teaches them a lesson. Janaki encourages Abhi to get his ladylove. Finally, love triumphs in the climax.

There is good melody in the songs and music.
Performance
Spandana looked glamorous and perfectly suited as a Muslim girl. Kalyanram showed good histrionics in body language and in action scenes. Venumadhav had a full length role in this film as the hero's buddy. Suhasini as hero's mother and Showkar Janaki as the grandmother of the heroine did justice to their roles. Telangana Sakuntala played a different role as Radhamma in this film.
