'Andhrawala' directed by Puri Jagannath and produced by Giri, starring NT Ramarao and Rakshita, had a big hype and wide publicity before its release, but the movie has nothing new to offer it is thumbs down from start to finish. The first half an hour of the film is okay and after that it is a boring. Puri Jagannath lost grip on the story as well as on screenplay.

Andhrawala

Story The film starts with Basha (Benarjee) running away with a kid and a group of goons trying to attack them. He leaves the kid near a beggar to save him from the clutches of the goons. That beggar brings up the boy for some years and dies. So the boy popular as Munna (NTR) remains an orphan. He turns out to be a saviour of a basti in Ameerpet. A big industrialist (Rahul Dev) finds that the area where the basti is situated belongs to them and plans to construct a five-star hotel, which Munna opposes. Chitra (Rakshita), a Miss India, is the sister of that industrialist loves Munna. Munna constructs a small Ganesh temple in the midst of the colony and when the police and goons come to vacate the colony, Munna creates a scene and start agitation that the goons attempted to demolish their temple. The incident rocks the whole State and the Chief Minister (Balayya) asks Home Minister (Brahmanandam) to solve the problem. As a result, the basti gets saved. Meanwhile Basha, who gets released from jail cmes to know about Munna and calls one of his friends (Nazar) that he found the son of Shankar Pahilwan. Chitra is none other than the daughter of Basha's friend, who tells him that the land belongs to Munna's father and gives it away.

Andhrawala

On learning that Shankar Pahilwan's son is alive and is in the basti, several goons of Bade Miya (Sayaji Shinde) reach Hyderabad to kill him. The IG (Ranganath) tells Munna to leave the place to avoid law and order problem. Basha reveals Munna's birth history. Munna is the son of Shankar Pahilwan (NTR), a maestry (leader) of a group of labourers from Andhra in Mumbai. This Andhrawala tries to stop Bade Miya's atrocities and emerges as another mafia don. While stopping the atrocities, both the groups attack for several times and several people lose their lives. In the process, Bade Miya loses his son. In order to take revenge, Bade Miya kills Shankar and his wife (Sanghavi). However, Basha saves the boy in the process. Listening to his life history, Munna straight goes to Mumbai and challenges Bade Miya who was in Dubai. Bade Miya comes to India. Munna tells him that he had no rivalry with him and asks him to stop all the atrocities against the Andhrawalas, which he did not listen. Instead, he sends in a boy's body as a present. So, Munna tells Bade Miya that he would kill him in two hours. Munna and his men attack Bade Miya's gang and kills almost all of them. Only Bade Miya, his second wife and their child remain. When Bade Miya takes his wife as his shield, she escapes from him and tells Munna to kill him.
Music
Chakri's music and the choreography are not very impressive. Except the first and last songs in the film.
Performance
NTR's performance is commendable. Rakshita's character is vulgar with dirty gestures. Sayaji Shinde, Benarjee, Nazar are in their usual best, the comedy episode between Brahmanandam and Pavala Shyamala is okay.
