'Anukokunda Oka Roju' is Chandrashekar's Second movie after Aithey. The film is made in the classic genre of Hollywood suspense thrillers. The most striking factor is that each and every character in the film is very well etched and there is no character which does not have a role to play in the narration. Secondly, the scenes are well knit. Screenplay and direction by Chandrashekar is apt.
Story:
Sahasra (Charmi), a chorus singer is hoping to make it as a playback singer. Her friend (Pooja), a hep party loving girl, takes her to a wild party. She lets her hair down and freaks out. She wakes up a full day later and realises that she was drugged. A few days later unidentified men chase her and try to murder her. A cabbie (Sashank) saves her. She then seeks the help of Suresh Reddy (Jagapati Babu) a suspended SI .The rest of the story is all about the happenings that occurred at the party and the reason why killers are chasing her.
Performance:
Charmi, who acted without make-up comes out in flying colours. She slips into the role effortlessly and delivers a very natural performance. Sashank after his debut in Aithe makes an impact and matches up to Charmi's acting. Jagapati Babu who plays a suspended cop who cracks open the case in his own way is excellent.
Music:
Music by MM Keeravani is good.
