'Atanokade' is a routine formula movie but the presentation is racy and the film is excellently executed. The director Surendar (debut) has been successful in reinventing an old super hero story in a revenge mould. All the credit goes to the director for keeping the viewers hooked to the screen.
Story:
Ram (Kalyan Ram) is a campus hero who sings, fights, is funny and also falls in love with a beautiful girl Anjali (Sindhu Tolani). The common factor that unites them is to take revenge on the arch villain ‘Anna’ (Ashish Vidyarthi).
As usual in a flashback it is revealed that Anna and his gang had brutally murdered an ACP’s (Prakash Raj) family and the survivors are Ram, Anjali and her uncle who wants vengeance. The twist is that Ram and Anjali do not know that they are related. The rest is how they go about fulfilling their dark deed.
Performance:
Kalyan Ram does well as the cold-blooded undercover assassin. He excels in action sequences. Sindhu Tolani is a surprise packet as she performs decently. Ashish Vidyarthi for change does not ham and the rest of the cast is also impressive. Prakash Raj has once again proved that he is a versatile actor in that small cameo as ACP.
Music: Music by Mani Sharma is an added attraction. Songs are melodious and foot tapping. songs 'Gundelalo' and 'Amma Devudo' are the pick of the lot.
Verdict: Hit.
