'Baava' is directed by Rambabu. And he has come with a routine tale and though the presentation was good, the anrative was not uto the mark.
Story:
The story begins with Veera Babu (siddarth) who lives in the green village of Venkatapuram. His father Sitaram (rajendra prasad) dotes on him and supports him at all times. Veera Babu along with his friends does a lot mischief in his village. His life takes a turn when he sees Varalakshmi (pranitha) in the neighbouring village. However, her father (ahuti prasad) believes in status and wants to get her married to Ramana (samrat). But then, there is a link between Veera Babu and Varalakshmi which goes a long way back and at the same time, even Sitaram has something to do with Varalakshmi's family. What are all those links and how things take shape forms the rest of the story.
Performance:
Siddarth has come up with a committed performance and he has done his job well. Pranitha looks sexy but more than that, it is her homely face that makes her the perfect fit. Rajendra Prasad was not used to his fullest. Ahuti was regular, Tanikella was alright, Sameer was mean, Brahmi and Ali comedy track failed to work, the real comedy came from the gang of Prasad, Venu and others.
Music:
'Baava' music is composed by Chakri. And the background score was alright and two songs were good remaining were not upto the mark.
