'Bheemudu' is a movie about the atrocities committed by the landlords and uppercastes against the poor and downtrodden farmers. Director cum producer Dhavala Satyam selected a good plot for his subject and used the language used by the Dalits and the incidents of Karamchedu, Neerukonda and Chundur.

Bheemudu (Narayana Murthy) is a small Dalit farmer with an acre land. He is very helpful to all the people in the village. He comes to the rescue of those who are in need, though he is a poor man. He gets satisfaction in helping others. In the same village Rayudu is a landlord. Everyone in the village is afraid of him. He lends money to the poor farmers at a high rate of interest. When they could not repay the loan, he used to take away their land. Like this, he acquires thousands of acre land. Among those thousands of acre, Bheemudu's field remains like a patch and hence Rayudu makes all kinds of efforts to take over that land, but Bheemudu refuses to sell or leave his land.
Meanwhile, a fight ensues between the upper castes and Dalits. One faction attacks the other and the upper castes decide to turn the village as another 'Karamchedu or Neerukonda' and succeed in their attempt. The government appoints a commission to inquire into the happenings in the village. Rayudu plays all kinds of tricks to turn the tables against the upper castes before the commission. When the commission chairman refuses to budge, Rayudu kills him. The film ends on a happy note, when the Dalits, who deprived of all the amenities, revolt against the Landlord and succeed in their fight.
Character like Bheemudu is not new to Narayana Murthy and he performed excellently. Jayaprakash Reddy as Rayudu also did well. Music by Vandemataram Srinivas is okay.
