'Dham - Dhamunte Preminchu' is an action oriented mass movie. Storyline is a routine love story. Partly the movie reminds us of 'Gemini' (starring Venkatesh). Here too the hero changes from a hardcore rough and tough guy into a softhearted guy for his love.

Coming to story, There are three friends [Anil, Raviteja, Vicky], who fall in love but fail to succeed. Rushi (Jagapathi Babu), a yoga instructor comes to their rescue and trains them, and helps them to win the hearts of their respective lovers. Another guy Kalyan (Chaitanya Krishna) tries to elope with his love, but gets hurt in the hands of the brother of his father-in-law. Rushi comes to know about him. He makes Kalyan to dare his father-in-law [Satyaprakash] and tells him to show some Dham. Kalyan also makes friends with the other three. Later all the four friends get caught by the goons sent by Kalyan's father-in-law. Rushi again comes to their rescue by flexing his muscles. But he becomes dumbstruck when Anjali (Sonia Agarwal) comes before him.

Now comes the flashback of Rushi. In his past Rushi was a rough & tough guy who violently responds wherever there is injustice. He falls in love with Anjali, the daughter of a big Industrialist Neelakantam (Avinash), who is also a Mafia don behind the screen. Anjali tries to change the rough character of Rishi & She succeeds to some extent. When they are about to get engaged, the bride’s father, who is not interested in the marriage, creates a scene to bring back the hero into his original rough character, which Anjali dislikes. The villain succeeds in getting the marriage cancelled. From that time, Rishi tries to control his temper by leading a calm going life as a Yoga instructor. When his friends come to know about his past they try to bring Rushi and Anjali back together because he helped them. The four young guys and their girl friends wanted to tell Anjali about Rushi's love towards her and get caught in the hands of the goons.

Again Rushi comes to their rescue. But, the boys plead with him not to turn violent, as Anjali hates violence. So, the goons start bashing Rushi. Then Anjali tells Rushi to show his 'dham'. The film ends on a happy note as Rushi bashes all the villains and Neelakantam kills his partner's brother in the climax.
Though the subject of the movie has mass masala, poor screenplay removed all the dham from 'Dham'. Jagapathi Babu did a splendid job. All the other characters gave average performances. Comedy by Venumadhav and Ali is OK. Action scenes are good. Music by Ramana Gogula is routine and not at all impressive.
