Sumanth's latest Dhana 51 is no way in par with Satyam. Screenplay and direction by Surya Kiran is flat. There are no Surprising twists in the movie, the story is very much predictable. Music of the film is no plus point either. Tunes are routine with no melody. Only Saving grace of the film are Sumanth and new comer Saloni.
Story: Dhana (Sumanth) has an aim of becoming a good police officer in life. He spends time with his juniors in college, and gets introduced to a girl Lakshmi (Saloni) in the process. Though her father, the Police Commissioner is a good man, he is unwilling to accept his daughter falling in love with a common man like Dhana. He lays a trap and convinces him also, to become a rowdy and get to know the first-hand information about the other goons in the city. And Dhana takes his advice seriously, and falls in the trap. He along with 50 other villains are sent to a Nagara Bahiskarana (Rehabilitation Asylum) in the city. He challenges the Police Commissioner, that he will win the love of his daughter. How he executes it forms the remaining story, while the social angle in the film is that, he also motivates the goons in the Asylum to become into normal people.
Music:Music by Chakri is comlpete let down.
Performance: Sumanth gave a pretty good performance. He looks averge though with no hero qualities. His dance numbers are okay. New comer Saloni looks cute and gave a commendable performance. Mukesh Khanna gave a decent performance. The comedy track by Kota and Dharmavarapu is average.
Verdict Average.
