'Don Seenu' is directed by Malineni Gopichand. And he has come up with a known tale but
then his presentation worked well and so did the narration.
Story:
The story begins with Seenu (ravi teja) who likes to be called as Don Seenu only since he
is a big fan of Amitabh Bachchan and his 'Don' film. He dreams of becoming a don one day
and soon, he comes to the city to fulfill his goal. He gets to join the gang of Machiraju
(sayaji) and the don gives him a job. Seenu should go to Germany and win the heart of a
girl who is the sister of Narsing (srihari), another big don and arch rival of Machiraju.
Seenu goes with Ramarao (ali) and falls in love with Deepthi (shriya). However, it is only
after coming back to India that he realizes a shocking truth and from then on, a new game
begins. what happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Performance:
Ravi Teja was his usual best and he did his bit with élan. Shriya is awesome and eyes pop
out whenever she is on the screen, she is simply irresistible, Anjana was alright. Srihari
did his bit as required, Sayaji was regular, Brahmanandam was good, Ali was apt, Venu
Madhav also gave few smiles, Mahesh Manjrekar was convincing, the others like Kasturi,
Surekha Vani, Sudharani were there to fill the gaps.
Music:
'Don Seenu' music is composed by Mani Sharma. And for this movie background score was good
but songs were not upto the mark.
