'Donga Dongadi' is a remake from Tamil blockbuster 'Thiruda Thirudi' starring Dhanush. Director Shiva Subramaniam has made a decent beginning with this undernourished love story. the film has the requisite amount of entertainment content to satisfy the audience.

Story:Vasu (Manoj Kumar) is a happy go-lucky youth in Tirupathi whose father (Manikya Vinayagam) is strict disciplinarian and does not like his son’s laid back attitude and irresponsible nature. But Vasu’s elder brother (Rajiv Kanakala) is a pretender and is scared of his father. Vasu meets a girl Viji (Sada) and after a series of incidents that follow Viji humiliates Vasu and in disgust he feels unwanted both at home and in his love affair. He leaves for Vizag looking for a job and gets one in a company and slowly he turns responsible and serious in life. Soon Viji also gets employed in Vizag and they become neighbours, leading to further complications. Finally when Viji falls hook line and sinker, Vasu backtracks which leads to a climax.
Music: Dhina’s music is catchy and has some fast numbers.
Performance: Manoj carries the entire film on his shoulders with ease with his body language. Sada gave an impressive performance. Manikya Vinayakam as the hero’s father is the surprise packet, as he comes out with a remarkable performance.
