'Ee Abbai Chala Manchodu' stars Raviteja and Vani (debut). Subject of the story is to prove that Love is not just infatuation but it is a different world in itself. The story of the film is good. Screenplay is interesting. It has good comedy too. Director Agastyan has done a good job.
Vivekananda (Raviteja) is the son of an industrialist (Ajay Ratnam) and is a practical man. He falls in love with Bharati (Vani). Vivek tells his father that he loves Bharati and will marry her after she completes her studies. Vivek's father in return tells him to enjoy her and then forget, because in his opinion, love is nothing but attraction. Vivek's father maintains a woman called Chitra (Preeti Nigam) but did not marry her.
Bharati's mother (Sana) is a dominating character and keeps her husband (Banerjee) in her grip. So Bharati's mother does not want a rich man as her son-in-law, because she could not handle him.
Bharati's mother throws her daughter away for not listening to her. So Vivek takes Bharathi away and starts a new life as an office boy. However, Vivek and Bharathi do not involve in any physical relationship, as Vivek wants to prove that Love is not just physical. Later, Chitra, on learning who is Vivek provides him employment at Jeevitha (Sangeeta), a classical dancer. Jeevitha falls in love with Vivek. Once, he accompanies Jeevitha for a foreign trip for a dance programme. As she likes him, she registers their names in hotel and on the flight tickets as Mr. & Ms Vivekananda and forces him to treat her as his wife for just one day and have sex with her but Vivek refuses. Unfortunately, their flight is hijacked during their return journey. Everyone in India, including all newspapers make it to headlines that the passengers include Mr. and Mrs. Vivekananda, who were on a honeymoon trip.
Vivek, when he returns home finds that Bharati has left the house and joined an ashram. Finally, Raviteja arranges a meeting with all the family members including Jeevitha and makes it clear that he did never cross his limits. He tells everyone that one can love anyone at any age and unites his father with Chitra. In the climax finally every thing ends on a happy note.
Raviteja gave an excellent performance. Vani a first timer also did a good job. Sangeetha, though had a small role, performed neatly. Music by Keeravani, though not very impressive, a couple of songs were nice to listen. Especially the first song was tuned melodiously and was also choreographed in a fantastic manner. In a nut shell 'Ee Abbai Chala Manchodu' is a neat family entertainer.
