'Maa Annayya Bangaram' is directed by Jonna lagadda Srinivas. And he has come up with a stale
storyline and both the presentation and narrative were poor.
Story:
The story begins with Sivaji (rajasekhar) whose only aim in life is to see his brothers
(Rohit, Aditya Om, Yashwanth, Raj Kalyan, Ping Pong, Master Bharath) as successful people. He
refuses to marry for that but after pressure from uncle Parameshwara Rao (jayaprakash reddy),
he agrees. True to his taste, he meets Manjula (kamalini) and wants to marry her. But Manju's
sister (jhansi) has a hatred for big families so they want only a nuclear family. Parameshwara
Rao lies that Sivaji has only one brother and the marriage takes place. However, the truth
gets discovered soon and what happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Performance:
Rajasekhar was as usual and nothing special from him, Kamalini looks skinny and weak,
Jayaprakash Reddy was the saving grace for the film, Sayaji was wasted, Jhansi was effective,
Brahmi was hardly there, the group of Rohit, Aditya Om, Yashwant etc did their bit as
required. Master Bharat was apt. The others didn't have much to offer.
Music:
'Maa Annayya Bangaram' music is composed by S A Rajkumar. And the background score was okay
but songs were bad.
