'Malliswari' is a love story with lot of humour. Though the storyline of the movie is routine screenplay and direction by Vijayabhaskar made the movie interesting to watch. Situational comedy and Venky's performance is the highlight of the movie. The movie can be watched by the whole family, it has no ugly scenes or indecent dialogues.

Story Malliswari (Katrina Kaif) is the granddaughter of Ramamohana Rao (Balaiah) and is the heir of a massive Rs 750 crore worth property. Her uncle Bhanuprakash (Kota Srinivasa Rao), who was looking after the property wanted to grab it and the case is reserved for judgement. Bhanuprakash's lawyer (Devadas Kanakala) reveals that they were about to lose the case and the entire property had to be handed over to the Princess of Mirjapur - Malliswari, once she attains 21 years of age. Bhanuprakash decides to eliminate her before she completes 21 years. In order to save her Ramamohana Rao sends her to Vizag, where her uncle (Tanikella Bharani) was staying. Varaprasad (Venkatesh) is an accountant in Andhra Bank. Though he keeps growing, he could not get married due to some problems. All the alliances go waste on one reason or other. Everyone start calling him Pellikani (Bachelor) Prasad. He happens to see Malliswari after she reaches Vizag. He loses his heart in the first sight and makes efforts to develop intimacy with her. In the process, he meets her in a birthday party of her friend. During their return, he comes across some goons, who wanted to kidnap Malliswari and saves her. Malliswari tells Prasad that she wanted to go to Hyderabad. They take the help of Paddu (Sunil), who was going by the way in a Qualis van and reach Hyderabad. But after reaching Hyderabad, she escapes from the van and goes to her grandfather's place.

Prasad goes in search of her with the phone number available with him and realizes that she is none other than the Princess of Mirjapuram and decides to quit from her life silently. However, Malliswari's Vizag uncle notices him and takes him to the palace to identify the goons, who attacked Malliswari in Vizag. Again, Prasad saves Malliswari from the jaws of death twice and comes to know that it is Bhanuprakash who was behind all the murder attempts. He gives a stern warning to Bhanuprakash. However, Ramamohana Rao goes to Bhanuprakash to ask him to stop the murder attempts on his granddaughter. Then Bhanuprakash puts a condition that he was ready to stop all his murder attempts if they were ready to get Malliswari married to his son. Ramamohana Rao accepts the alliance. So, Prasad had no option but to quit from the life of Malliswari. However, Bhanuprakash makes it clear to Prasad that he wanted to kill Malliswari at any cost. In order to save her, Prasad enters Malliswari's room and gets caught by Ramamohana Rao and his family members. Finally, after Malliswari receives the property documents from Bhanuprakash declares that she doesn't want the wealth and donates the entire property to Mother Teresa Foundation and joins Prasad as an ordinary housewife. With this the film ends on a happy note.

Music by Koti is impressive.
Performance
Venkatesh gave his best performance. Katrina Kaif is gorgeous to look at but failed to display emotions properly and she also needs to improve her body language. Gajala joined Venkatesh in a special item song. Comedy by Brahmanandam, Sunil is good.
