'Mr & Mrs Sailaja Krishna Murthy' is inspired from Hollywood flicks 'Serendipity' and 'On the line'. In the past, three films came with the similar storyline (Nee Manasu Naaku Telusu, Okariki Okaru and Love Today). Since there is nothing new in the storyline, the freshness is lost. Director Siva Nageswara Rao succeeded partly in getting the feelings of the main leads in a compassionate way.
Story:Krishna Murthy (Sivaji) does not have much faith in God, but is easily prone to believe his fellowmen. This unemployed guy after much shunting from pillar to post, finally settles at work with a TV channel. One fine day, this semi-atheist happens to visit the temple of Lord Satyanaraya Swamy at Annavaram. From this temple town, begins the main story. He meets Sailaja (Laila) there. That’s it. Strange twist hovers on them. The result is all the people around them presume that Krishna Murthy and Sailaja are a bonafide couple. Coming to the heroine, she is a homely lady, who believes in God. Show her any tree or rock, she will postrate to the same. Her ambition is to pursue management course in the US. The unsaid and natural development of bond between the hero and heroine robs much of the screenplay. As every one expects, the climax reveals that they are not wife and husband. Two options are left to them. To get married or to take leave of each other.
Music: Music by Rohit Raj is apt. Songs are good.
Performance: Sivaji as Mr. Krishna Murthy did a homely role, and at the same time appears in reckless mood being an atheist. He improved his body language. Laila, who made a come back to Telugu screen, looked cute and did a commendable job. Comedy by Krishna Bhagawan, LBS, Dharmavarapu is average. Tannikella Bharani was his usual best.
Verdict Above Average.
