'Oka Raju Oka Rani' is a love story out of routine. The film is directed by Yogi. Dialogues by Nivas are good. Photography by Vasu is excellent.

Coming to story, Ravi (Raviteja) is the son of Kalanjali Textiles chairman (Chandramohan) of Hyderabad, who runs a franchise at Mumbai. Preethi (Namita) is the daughter of Rajagopal (Tanikella Bharani), Commissioner of Police in Hyderabad. But she stays in her paternal uncle's (Ramakrishna) house in Mumbai for studies. Both of them fall in love. At that time, Preethi gets a message that her father is coming to Mumbai to take her to Hyderabad after the completion of examinations. Preethi tells Ravi that her father did not like love marriages. She narrates that her sister died in a fire accident as her love marriage proved a failure. However, it is not known whether it is an accident or suicide or a murder by her husband. So, Rajagopal hates love and love marriages. But, Ravi tells Preethi that she has to decide whether she wanted her father or him. He tells her an equation - Preethi plus Ravi minus Rajagopal is equal to happiness.

However, Ravi realises that Preethi wanted both him and her father. He prepares a plan and decides to implement it after reaching Hyderabad. As per the plan, he catches the marriage broker Sachin (Brahmanandam) and explains him the entire love story and tells him to broach marriage between both the families. Sachin manages to cancel the alliance fixed by Rajagopal and shows him the photo of Ravi. In the same way, he shows the picture of Preethi to Ravi's father. Even they manage the horoscopes by an astrologer (Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam). So, both the families feel happy and decide to fix the muhurtham for the marriage. As their plan proved successful, Preethi and Ravi go for an outing and meet with an accident. There the police find a photograph through which Rajagopal comes to know that they were already in love and he was cheated. As he hates love marriages, he cancels the alliance and keeps Preethi in Chanchalguda women's jail as it would be the safest place and Ravi could not trace her. However, Ravi traces her and goes to the jail in the night and rescues Preethi. By that time, Rajagopal reaches the spot and threatens him with dire consequences. But Ravi makes it clear that he will not leave Preethi and take her away by hook or crook. Finally, love triumphs and they get united.

Namita looks beautiful. Raviteja gave his usual performance. Comedy is good. Chandramohan and Sudha as parents of Raviteja, Tanikells Bharani and Satyapriya as heroine's parents did their job decently. Though a small role, Telangana Sakuntala played a good role in the film. Direction is average.
