'Pallakilo… Pellikuthuru' launches Gautham, son of famous comedian Brahmanandam as a hero. Suchitra Chandrabose turned director through 'Pallakilo… Pellikuthuru' under the guidance and directorial supervision of Dr K Raghavendra Rao. The film became a musical hit, even before the release of the film, with fantastic tunes by MM Keravani. As Raghavendra Rao is well-known for picturising song sequences, the film reached the expectations of the audiences, with the able support of the director cum choreographer Suchitra. The basic storyline is routine, however, the visual treatment of the film is good

Pallakilo… Pellikuthuru

Story:There is a college called Pallaki, in which the prospective brides and grooms get training on how to behave with their spouses, how to cook delicious food, how to wear modern clothes and traditional dresses and many more. Its principal [Telangana Sakuntala] a publicity monger, while her son [Tanikella Bharani] is an English tutor and daughter-in-law [Sudha] a fashion designer. The latter have a son Gautham [Gautham] and a daughter. Once Gautham happens to see a girl in a TV programme and decides to marry that girl. On the other side, Swaroopa Rani [Rathi] is the only granddaughter of a rich landlord [Balaiah] in Amalapuram. A businessman [Giribabu] wanted to get his son Bhakta married, who was in the US. So they go to Amalapuram and okay the girl. But the boy wanted his wife modern as she has to stay with him in the US. So, the businessman asks the landlord to send Rani with them, so that they could mould their daughter-in-law to suit the needs of their family and son.

Pallakilo… Pellikuthuru

Rani reaches her in-laws place much before the marriage and get admitted to 'Pallaki'. Gautham happens to see her and is in surprise as he was already in love with her. In an unexpected turn of incidents, Gautham happens to hear from Rani who says, 'I love you my sweet heart'. While Gautham thinks that she had recognised his voice before saying that and tells his parents, grandmother and sister that Rani too loved him. Unfortunately, Rani reveals the fact that she mistook the call from that of her would be husband. Here, comes the twist, with Gautham coming to know that Rani had already been betrothed with some other boy. So, he did not want to spoil the alliance and starts maintaining distance and at the same time remains a good friend to her. He teaches her everything. As the wedding day approaches, Rani visits Gautham's house and invite the entire family to her marriage, to the utter dismay and shock to Gautham's parents. Gautham reveals that he came to know that she was already engaged, but still loves her. He takes the entire family to the wedding. Accidentally, Rani happens to hear the conversation between the family members of Gautham and realises that he love her so much and she too had some soft corner towards him. Unable to answer her soul, she decides to stop the marriage and reveal Gautham's love towards her. The groom also accepts that Rani was right and the film ends on a happy note with the union of Rani and Gautham.

Music:
Music is the highlight of the film. Songs are melodious and a few of them are choreographed well.
Performance:
The performance of debutant hero Gautham, son of noted comedian Brahmanandam, is not bad. But he should avoid imitating Pavan Kalyan and needs to improve his body language. Rathi is cute. She had many similarities of Simran, Sobhana and Trisha in different angles. Comedy by Dharmavarapu, MS Narayana and Sunil with Shakeela is in bad taste. Instead the comedy by Brahmanandam and other lead artistes like Bharani, Sakuntala looked better. 'Allari' Ravi's comedy villainy is hilarious.
