'Run' establishes Madhavan as an action hero. Subject of the movie is a routine love story with a hero, heroine and a bad guy. Here the bad guy is heroine's brother.

Shiva (Madhavan) comes to Chennai in search of a job. He stays with his elder sister (Anu Hassan) and husband (Raghuvaran). He falls in love with Priya (Meera Jasmine). Priya's brother is a gangster (Atul Kulkarni). He never spares any body who is after his sister. Priya tries to avoid Shiva due to the fear of her brother. But her elder brother comes to know about Shiva and he sends his men to beat Madhavan. Now we come to see our action hero's action. He bashes the bad guys into pulp. But Priya's brother always keeps track of Shiva's moves. Slowly Priya also falls in love with Shiva. The rest of the movie is how Shiva empowers Priya's brother and they unite.

Madhavan has done a good job as an action hero. His expressions and actions are excellent. Meera Jasmine looks innocent and cute. Music by Vidyasagar is melodious. Songs will hit the top charts. Comedy is good. Raghuvaran and Anu Hassan fit perfectly into their roles. Overall 'Run' is a good movie to watch with good screenplay and direction. Movie will race all other current movies and will reach the top of the charts.
