'Seetaiah' is a faction film. For the first time Harikrishna plays a solo lead in this film. Director-cum-producer YVS Chowdary (Director - Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo) came out with a film with total factionalism in its backdrop. There are 16 villains and seven comedians. Simaran is the heroine of this film. She is back on the Telugu screen after a long gap.

Coming to story, Sivaiah (Harikrishna) is a sincere circle inspector. His aim is to wipe out factionalism from Seema. He is the son of a factionalist (Rajan P Dev) and son-in-law of another factionalist (Navabharat Balaji) in Ontimitta. Sita (Soundarya) is his wife. Sita dies in a bomb blast, while trying to save her family and her in-laws family from rival attack. Sivaiah takes revenge against the killers of his wife and changes his name to Seetaiah to keep her memories with him. From there, he gets transferred to Dharmavaram. Bangaram (Simaran) acts as a servant maid in Seetaiah's house. In fact, Bangaram leaves her parents out of anger over marriage alliances. Bangaram falls in love with Seetaiah.
In Ontimitta, Seetaiah faces another factionalist called Chengalrayudu (Mukhesh Rushi). Chengalrayudu gets him killed in the police station through another follower (Posani Krishnamurali). In fact, Chengalrayudu's son (Ravikanth) rapes the daughter (Sunita Varma) of DSP (Ahuti Prasad). Seetaiah intervenes and sees that they are married. This irks Chengalrayudu. In order to settle their scores, Seetaiah releases another opponent (Jayaprakash Reddy) of Chengalrayudu on bail. In a bid to take revenge, Chengalrayudu finds out that Seethaih is the son of a factionalist. Chengalrayudu orders his sons and sons-in-law to unite all the factionalists of the region to eliminate Seetaiah, as he could be an obstacle to all of them. During Seetaiah's return from his hometown in a train, all the factionalists and their men attack Seetaiah. He massacres all of them. Fearing Seetaiah Chengalrayudu, kidnaps Bangaram and others. He demands Seetaiah to come alone without any weapons to the Kali temple by holding all of them hostage. Finally Seetaiah changes Chengalrayudu with his speech on peace and unity.

Harikrishna has shown some brilliant histrionics in action scenes, but his dance numbers with Simran looks comical. The picturisation of the first song in B&W (Yevari Maataa Vinadu…) and another song praising Rayalaseema (Idigo Rayalaseema Gadda…) were good. Simran was good in dance numbers. Soundarya had a small role and did justice to her role. Comedy track is impressive. Dialogues by Posani Krishnamurali were strong. Keeravani's music is impressive.
