'Soggadu' lacks a good story and the climax is far too contrived. The film's plus points are the music and picturisation. It is excellent and locations are mindblowing. cinematography too is very good. The weak point is it's story ( the hero decides to unite the girl with her lover) and Jugal Hansraj, he does not have South Indian looks.
Story: Ravi (Tarun) a jobless youngster who falls in love with Swati (Arti Agarwal). He does not get an opportunity to meet and talk to her because of her over protective ruffian brother (Subbaraju). When he sees Swati unwilling to marry a guy whom her brother fixed, he helps her to escape from the marriage hall. He is shocked when she tells him that she loves a guy called Chandu (Jugal Hansraj). Ravi however for the sake of the girl decides to unite Swati with Chandu. Will Swati unite with Chandu or fall for Ravi forms the climax.
Music:Music is impressive. The songs 'Madhu Maasam' and 'Kaliki Chilaka' are the pick of the lot.
Performance: Tarun and Arti have done their part well. Tarun is lovable as a nice guy and Aarthi looks good in traditional dresses. The comedy track of Brahmanandam and Kalpana is a saving grace.
