'Subhapradam' is directed by K Viswanath. And he has come up with a rather confusing storyline and though the presentation was good, the narrative was very poor.
Story:
The story begins with Indu (manjari) who is an avid follower of dance and music. Her family has an unusual combination her father (vizag prasad) is Telugu, mother is Malayali, her uncles (sudarshan and ashok kumar) are married to ladies from Chennai and Kolkata. Things take a turn with the arrival of Chakri (allari naresh) who is also a talented singer but he is not a trained or professional one. He falls in love with Indu and she reciprocates his feelings. However, the arrival of a rich man (Sarath Babu) brings a twist in the story and also the profession of Chakri comes as a surprise. What happens hereafter is to be seen on the screen.
Performance:
Allari Naresh had a weak etching of his character but still he made his presence felt strongly, the real show stealer was Manjari who looks gorgeous to the core and she has got fair talent of performance as well. Sharath Babu was elegant, the trio of Vizag Prasad, Ashok Kumar and Sudarshan gave many funny moments. Jayalakshmi was a revelation with her dance. The others did their bit as required.
Music:
'Subhapradam' music is composed by Mani Sharma. And the background score was excellent but only one song has been able to appeal, remaining were not upto the mark just average.
