'Malli Malli Choodali' is a low budget movie with average love story. The dialogues by Poosala are okay, but a few attempts were made to attract the masses with double-meaning dialogues.

Pavan [Venu] moves around freely with four of his friends. He just enjoys the life, though he was from a middle class family. Pavan's father Ramachandra Rao [Costumes Krishna] is a tailor. He always insists on his son to search for a good job and live a happy life. On one day, Pavan happens to meet Gayatri [Janani], the only daughter of Jagadish Prasad [Vizag Prasad], a millionaire.

Jagadish Prasad did not like his daughter Gayatri, a medico, falling in love with Pavan. So he creates many troubles to Pavan and implicates him in a stabbing incident. Superintendent of Police [Sai Ravi] helps him in foisting a false case against Pavan. However, Gayatri saves the girl who was involved in the stabbing incident. But Jagadish Prasad and the SP manages to create rift between Pavan and Gayatri. Somehow, Pavan comes out of the criminal case. Later, Gayatri and Pavan get married against the wishes of Jagadish Prasad. Without stopping at this, Pavan leaves Gayatri at her parents' house for about an year. He earns money and returns as a millionnaire and takes Gayatri with him. With this the film comes to an end.
Pavans Sridhar's screenplay was poor. Venu was okay. Janani did not show any expressions. Her emotions were flat in the whole movie. songs are okay. Music by Yuvan, son of Ilayaraja, is good. As a whole, it is a not an impressive film in any way.
