Here is the launch of another hero from Nandamuri family. The film is a potpourri of romance, comedy, action, crime and everything you can think of. Movie does not have any class. It is a mass movie. There is nothing new in the movie. The movie is only meant to launch Tarakaratna.
The film begins with a horrifying scene, when Tanikella Bharani cuts his sister's hand from her lover, after they both commit suicide. Then he declares a caution that none in their village should talk about love and fall in love. Tanikella Bharani has a daughter named Swapna (Rekha). Swapna promises her father that she would never fall in love before joining college.
Balu (Tarakaratna) Swapna's college mate instantly falls in love with her. Later Swapna also falls in love with him. Rajiv Kanakala also studies in the same college. Swapna's parents initially choose him for Swapna.
Later, Swapna tells Balu's friend that she could not love Balu as her father fixed her marriage with someone and appeals him to tell Balu to forget her. But, Balu's friends change the photograph sent by Swapna's father and keeps Balu's photograph in it and makes their love blossom. Swapna was under the impression that her father had also selected Balu and moves freely with him.
In the climax, Bharani comes to know that there was a goof up in the photograph and Balu's friends admit their mistake. But Swapna claims that it was her father, who told her to develop intimacy with the boy, whose photograph she got along with the letter and she cannot change her mind. But Balu refuses to marry Swapna against the wishes of her father. Swapna goes inside the laboratory and sets it afire that she could not live without love. The hero shows his heroism again and wins the heart of Bharani, to change his attitude towards love.
Hero Tarakaratna performance is below average. He neither has looks nor has the acting capabilities. Hero is the drawback of the film. The movie might have done a bit better with other hero. Rekha looks pretty. NTR's name is frequently used in the movie. Hero tries to imitate his grandpa in some scenes. The focus of the movie is completely on the hero so other characters performance is not accounted. Music by Keeravani is average. To sum up the movie can be rated average.
