'Vamsam' movie has limited characters and limited locations. The movie has neither mass appeal nor class appeal. Story is old and the screenplay is not apt. The movie has only three characters the concept and treatment of the movie makes it very boring to watch. The story would be apt to remove a TV serial rather than a 2&1/2 hr cinema.

Story:
Chinna (Baladitya) is the son of Ramaraju (Nagababu), a landlord. Chinna's mother died when he was a kid. Chandram (Chandra Mohan) is Ramaraju's friend and a popular author visits their place when Chinna turns 22. Then it is revealed that Chinna is the son of Chandram, who was taken away by Ramaraju in order to keep his Vamsam (dynasty) going. The rest of the story is all about whom Chinna prefers to stay with.

Performance:
Baladitya has given a commendable performance. His histrionics are excellent. Nagababu and Chandramohan are adequate.

Music:
Music by H Madhusudhan is mediocre.
Verdict:
Below Average.
