'Vastadu Naa Raju' is directed by Hemant Madhukar. And he has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was nice, the narrative was adequate.
Story:
The story begins with Venky (vishnu) whose goal in life is to become a kickboxing champion. He doesn't believe in love and thinks that it is time waste and money waste. His life takes a turn when he is targeted by Narasimha (prakashraj), a dreaded goon who is aspiring to become an MLA. Narasimha is under the impression that Venky is in love with his sister Pooja (taapsee). On the other hand, he also commits to the wedding of Pooja with Ajay (ajay), son of Home Minister. How does that misunderstanding occur? Are Venky and Pooja really in love? What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Performance:
Manchu Vishnu has to work on his physique and dialogue delivery a great deal, he looks sick and lacking energy. Taapsee was appealing and she has the right mix of beautiful looks and sex appeal which gives a feast to the audience. Prakashraj was good as usual and grabs attention. Brahmanandam does his bit as required. Tanikella was matured, Tulasi was neat, Sathya Krishnan makes her presence felt. Surekha Vani looks sensuous, Ajay's potential was not used rightly. Siva Reddy, Satyam Rajesh, Bobo Sasi were there to fill the gaps. Jeeva was usual.
Music:
'Vastadu Naa Raju' music is composed by Mani Sharma. And the background score was good and songs were the highlight to the movie.
